The Iowa Local Technical Assistance Program brings the latest in transportation technology to Iowa’s public works and county employees, helping participants improve both their knowledge and skills.

Iowa LTAP events span the entire range of transportation topics, depending on local governments’ needs. Popular ongoing programs include Motor Grader Operator workshops, where veteran operators provide on-site guidance as well as classroom instruction, and the annual Iowa Streets and Roads Workshop and Conference. Our special workshops, although not regularly offered, still provide unique opportunities for participants to develop essential road maintenance and safety skills.
