In this 60-minute session you will learn how the power of emotional intelligence and asking the right questions empowers people to be the best version of themselves. You will also explore how taking time to understand the root of resistance creates clear communication channels and builds trust within your team. Get ready for an energetic and interactive session where you will learn all about reducing your own stress and helping the people around you by taking a slightly different approach to resistance. You will walk away from this session with tips and tricks that can be immediately applied to your work and personal life!

Speaker Bio

Krisdeena Jansen works full time as a management consultant where she develops training programs, leads change programs, and manages projects for organizations across the globe. In 2019 she started her own professional development consulting company called GLUTRECK Engagement & Development where she designs, develops, and facilitates professional development programs for organizations across the state. In previous experiences she coordinated and developed risk reduction training programs for the Department of Defense in Washington, DC., led training programs for staff at Iowa State University, and worked for a local non-profit as a drug and alcohol educator in K-12 schools in Polk County. Krisdeena is a first-generation college graduate where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology from ISU and her Master’s in Leadership Development from Drake University. She also volunteers as the promotions and website developer for her son’s hockey team in Ames. In her spare time, she travels to ice rinks around the Midwest for her son’s hockey tournaments and supports him in his many adventures. Rounding out her busy schedule are her very active dogs, Metea, Jack, Koop and Layla.
