Scheduling Process
Each winter, Iowa LTAP coordinates scheduling for our on-site Basic Flagger Training that is offered in the spring.
For planning our training trips to each area of the state in the spring, we ask that people show their interest by filling out the form using the form below. For the 2026 season, this form was active until January 16, 2026. Check back this fall for details about scheduling a session for the 2027 season. This will be the initial time period to show interest. Actual training visits will be planned for March, April, and/or May. We will contact you about some registration options.
Please note, due to increases in demand for this training during these few spring months, for the second year in a row we will only be able to return every other year to individual agencies that require the use of all or near all of the seats on-site (e.g., 25-30 people) in a flagger training. We can, however, still train your new staff in need of this training by combining them with those from other agencies at a nearby training and/or do this training outside the months of March to May.
We realize this is not ideal and we have begun the process of a short-term and long-term method of lifting this restriction through additional staffing. If you have any questions, concerns, or input, please contact Keith Knapp at 515-294-8817 or kknapp@iastate.edu.
If you run into difficulty filling out the request form or do not receive a confirmation email following submission, please reach out to David Veneziano to complete the process (dvenez@iastate.edu or 515-294-5480).
