Basic Inspection – Who Should Attend?

This workshop is designed for the beginning inspector who may have 0-3 years of experience. The basics of documentation will be explored along with an overview of the information sources and availability of additional training and how everyone is involved in safety. The workshop will also include a discussion of the role of the inspector from two viewpoints: the agency’s and contractor’s. Each want the same end result from a construction project, but how do they view the role of the inspector?

Advanced Inspection – Who Should Attend?

This workshop provides construction inspectors with an understanding of the flow of activities and the fundamentals of construction inspection. For the seasoned employee (more than 3 years of experience), the workshop refreshes solid principles of construction inspections. The workshop will present insight into the current state of construction activities and an exposure to partnering in Iowa. There is an opportunity to share experiences and to learn from peers.
