Description

Oversize and overweight (OS/OW) freight movement is among the fastest growing segments in the truck freight industry. Detouring this type of freight movement is usually a good option, but it may not always be possible. Work zone transportation management planning (TMP) is appropriate for considering how OS/OW freight should be dealt with to ensure state economies are not severely impacted. Good practices during TMP development can help avoid costly economic hardships or change orders. Suggestions and strategies for dealing with OS/OW in work zones will be offered. This webinar is co-sponsored by the WI Transportation Information Center (LTAP).
